Moe aka Chevy with her sister Muffin

Testimony of the new owner: "Hi! My name is Moe and I am the dog on the right. That is Muffin, my "sister" on the left. Everyone tells me that I am beautiful; but I didn't always look like this."Moe" wasn't always my name; my first owner used to call me "Chubbie". I think that was just a joke he played on me because I wasn't chubbie at all; far from it. When my first owner took me to the Brooklyn shelter where he left me, I was 1 ˝ years old and I only weighed 11 pounds. And I was really sick and so scared. I was locked up in a pen and all these strange men tried to get at me and I would bark and growl. But that was because I was afraid; I thought that every time a man came near me he was going to beat me like my first owner did. I was in real trouble and I didn't have much time left. That's when God sent me an angel to rescue me. Her name is Delores and she came and took me out of that pen and held and comforted me. She brought me right to the vet where I spent a week getting well again. It wasn't so easy; I had to get intravenous fluids to build up my strength and medicine to get rid of the worms and infections I had. But Delores was so kind to me and she helped me pull through and got me all cleaned up with a haircut and told me I was a beautiful boy and that she would find someone to love me.Then my current owners came and adopted me. What a great day that was! Now I think I am in paradise. I love my "sister" Muffin; we play together all the time and snuggle together on the couch when we get tired. We get fed all this delicious food and treats and my new dad really loves me and takes Muffin and me to the park to run and play. At night, we get to sleep in our own beds in mom and dad's bedroom. I am so happy now, I hardly ever think of my old life. But, I still get scared by men sometimes because I think they are going to hurt me like my first owner did. Then I cry and, sometimes, have an accident on the floor. My mom tells me not to worry, that I am safe now and nobody is ever going to hurt me again. I try hard to remember that.I don't want to think of what would have happened to me if Delores didn't come rescue me when she did. She always called me and the other dogs that she rescued her "Angels". But I think she is the one that's the angel. I remember all those beautiful dogs, like me, that lived in Delores' home and were so sad and hoping that someone would come and get them and bring them home and love them for the rest of their lives. I just hope that they were as lucky as I was.

Eddie aka Raider

Testimony of the new owner: ""

"Prince Charming" with his Mommy

Cody at home with his new brothers and sister

Testimony of the new owner: "I hope all is well with you and your pups. We just had "formal" pictures taken of all the pups and thought you would enjoy them. All are getting along very well and Cody has turned into quite the cuddler who loves all of his toys, lots of tummy rubs and playing catch in our backyard. We hope he's as happy here as we are with him. He's a wonderful member of our family."

DD aka Destiny

Testimony of the new owner: " DD is doing so well. What a sweetheart she is. Every so often, I have to go back to the first picture I saw of her, with the collar and taped jaw, and I can't believe she has come this far. Anyone who would meet this little girl would never believe all the horror she went through. She is very, very timid of anyone new and it takes her a while to adjust to them but once she does, she will snuggle up with anyone. It amazes me that she can be so sweet and affectionate afterall she's been through. What was really amazing was how she adjusted here so well and so fast. You were right about her "agility". As you may remember, when I went to pick her up, she wouldn't come near me. I was really nervous about how she was going to be here. As soon as she got in the house, she bounded up the stairs, raced around, with Moxie right behind her, checked out the bedrooms, the bathroom, nudged the shower curtain aside to see what was back there and ran back into the bedroom. She stopped dead in her tracks and just stared at herself in the mirror. She didn't move a muscle. I moved up behind her and she whipped her head around as if she was trying to figure out what was going on. She kept looking in the mirror at us, then turning and looking at me. It was incredible to watch. I went about the business of getting ready for bed, it was well after 1 AM at this point, but she never moved. Moxie just laid on the bed watching her! As soon as I got into bed, Moxie snuggled into his usual position next to me and she jumped right up and found a spot next to me. He was not going to tolerate sharing me so she moved to the foot of the bed and starred at herself some more. We played this silly little game until 3... when I could play no more. I turned off the light and Moxie feel right to sleep. As soon as he did, she bounced on up next to me and snuggled right it. They both stayed that way all night. DD is fascinated by everything. She loves sitting in front of the slider watching the world go by her. When she's on the deck, she has to taste all the flowers and my herb garden is her favorite. The other day, she had an entire basil plant in her mouth. Absolutely everything she does is a new adventure and she embraces it all. She is the queen of this household. She loves Moxie so much she always wants to be next to him and wants to do whatever he's doing. I can't even begin to tell you how seeing them together makes me feel. I am truly blessed by these guys. And, he loves her too. I was so worried about him being jealous - and he is but Moxie has the biggest heart and just lets her do whatever she wants. How can I begin to thank you for saving them both, and for letting them live with me. When everyone else said let her go, you said NO. You read her eyes and you were right! Destiny belongs to all of us. To the wonderful people who prayed for her, for the donations they sent for her medical care, for the on-going love they have shown to her. So we need to thank all of you - I need to thank all of you for bringing this precious angel into our lives.

Daphne aka Tammie and Skylar together at home

Testimony of the new owner: "Just wanted to let you know the girls are doing great! They roll and play and wrestle with each other, but when they are on a break they kiss each other and lay down together. They love to play tug with toys. Skyler just doesn't get Daphne's fascination with birds and Daphne doesn't get Skyler's fascination with food! Skyler may have lost a pound just trying to keep up with Daphne...she'll be sleek and slender soon! We are just about housebroken, but still have accidents every now and then. Nowhere near when they first got here! I'm so glad Barbie got a home. I felt so guilty leaving her there. Let me know how all of the other babies are. Give Bailey a big hug and kiss from me. The girls send lots of love and kisses. Thank you so much for saving them. They are wonderful girls who have stolen a big piece of my heart!"

Sami aka Sassy with her brother Charlie

Testimony of the new owner: ""

Jade with her family

Testimony of the new owner: "Thank you to- for all you do everyday for these babies. We are truely blessed to have her- I forgot to tell you she sings. We tell her Jade lets sing and we sing to her and she puts her head way back and sings. It is just too funny- she gets so proud and excited. You take care and please keep healthy- I will pray for you."

Lola aka Barbie

Testimony of the new owner: "We just wanted to write and tell you that Lola (Barbie) is doing great and her and Rocky are getting along better than we expected. It's hard to believe we have only had her for a few weeks, because she's already become settled into the family. We took her to our vet and once again, just like with Rocky, he said we had a great dog! He checked out her eyes, and told us that they were producing enough tears on their own and we didn't need to give her drops. So we haven't been and her eyes are perfect. Thank you for taking such good care of her. I hope you got the pictures we sent when we took both dogs to the beach, Lola was trying to eat the sand, like it was ice cream or something. But she had a fun time chasing her brother around. We have been able to have a few toys around the house and Rocky and Lola don't fight over them. One funny thing that Lola does is howl when the fire engines pass by.. it's so funny! We hope all is well with you and we will continue to send you updates. "

Jessie

Testimony of the new owner: "Just wanted to let you know that Jessie is getting so big! He has taken to bathing my legs with his kisses. He loves to hang out under my feet when I'm cooking. He still eats like he never had food in his life. My vet tells me he is an absolute winner! (I knew that already.)We've had him now for 6 1/2 weeks now and it seems like he's been here forever. He rolls over and sleeps on his back. He is so trusting he just lets us walk over him. He doesn't move at all. He doesn't have a nervous bone in his body. He still gets me up at 5 AM no matter what time I put him down for the night. Chippy could sleep all day (his birthday was 5/27 and he is now 9 years old). Jessie and Chippy love to stay on the sofa with both of us at night and watch TV. Jessie loves music. He looks at the TV whenever music goes on. He loves when we walk outside and he gets all kinds of lovin' from strangers who just fall in love with him. I've been increasing the distance we walk by a block every week. So our walks are getting long. He still loves to bite Chippy's butt and when Chippy goes gr-r-r-r he runs into the other room and barks. Big brave one that he is barking from the next room. It's so funny we can't stop laughing! He is just so precious. We are so blessed to have him."

Ellie aka Lady

Testimony of the new owner: "I happened to visit your website today, and am happy to see you are still around. I wanted to let you know how our cocker is doing, as it has been quite a while since we adopted her. Ellie Mae is a sweet, kind, snuggle bug. She is the best! Always gentle, Ellie Mae is at home in the suburbs, enjoying her family, her many toys, her friends, and her big backyard. She has proven herself to be a good friend to our children, always checking on them, snugggling them if they're chilly in the winter, and just being a really good doggy. We couldnt have asked for anything better in a pooch. She has the kindest eyes, and knows just when to put on "the face" for maximum attention, praise, and hugs. The moment we saw her, we knew she was the one. She definitely has found her forever home. Thanks again, and please keep up the great work you do!"

Clancy aka Jesse

Testimony of the new owner: "I wanted to tell you how wonderful Jesse has been for the past year and a half. We have decided to rename Jesse to Clancy. He has recoved quite well from his skin condition. he has the softest hair. he loved to run with my children's dogs, Skippy & Lady (both cocker spaniels). He also loves to play with my daughter's cats. Clancy also gets alone with everyone. He is the best thing that has happen to me lately. I can not image what i would do with out him. he is part of the family now. He loves to play fetch with balls, excepts that he does not like to give it back. We all love him very much and we are so happy that we have him."

Finch aka Spike

Testimony of the new owner: "Finch is GREAT! He started giving kisses on Wednesday and absolutely LOVES the beach!! He runs as fast as a cheeta when on the beach and comes to me (after a little training) :) He is a free and loving puppy dog!! So far we have been doing really well with going out into the back yard with a leash and he has met the neighbors and likes their black lab Gracie. All is well and I thank God every day that this little boy Finch has come into my life! Thank you Thank you Thank you........I'll write more soon!"

Casey

Testimony of the new owner: "Casey, who has now become Casey Love, has really got his bounce back. Literally, he bounces and enjoys every second of his life. It is such a great thing to look at him and know what a wonderful thing Abandoned Angels did for him, and all the others who have been saved. We can not imagine life without him in it, thank you so much."

Einstein

Testimony of the new owner: "I have to say that, even though the beginning was a bit of a rough road, that I wouldn't trade Einstein for the world. He's been a member of our family now for just over six months, and in that time has gone from being an anxious dog to being a dog that seems to take everything in stride. The obedience training did wonders for him, and we still practice almost every day because he loves it so much. Although he's not a "teddy bear" dog, to be cuddled and fussed over, he is a very affectionate dog, who likes to be close to us. Best of all, he's an optimistic, happy, merry dog who is always ready to go places and do things, as long as you're willing to take him with you. He really is a wonderful companion; a great big outgoing dog who happens to live in a little body. Einstein has given back to us tenfold what we have given him in love and caring. He keeps us company, gives us love, and makes us laugh. And his little tail just never seems to stop wagging! I can't thank you enough for letting us adopt him. As for his epilepsy, other than the one big episode we haven't had any major seizures. He will have tiny mini-seizures sometimes, little twitches that can last an hour or two days, but they don't bother him too much and the vet says it's not a condition that warrants medicine right now. So, if he stays like this we will count ourselves lucky, and if he gets worse then we will worry about it then. A week from Monday he will be going for his first grooming since we got him. I've been working with him to get him used to being brushed (I can actually brush him with no trouble now), used to the clippers, and preparing him for it. I know he's been groomed, but I want it to be a very positive experience instead of a struggle, so I've been spending a lot of time in the last two months to get him used to things. Also, I've been able to clip his nails (not all at one sitting, but a few at a time without a fuss), which I feel is a big accomplishment. All of this has been done without a muzzle or any restraining whatsoever. Little by little, we're making progress! Sometimes I wonder what I'll do when Einstein no longer has any issues to work with - it's become so much a part of my daily routine to spend the time with him working on these things that I think I'll be doing it until he dies. It's become part of our time together that we both look forward to. I must say that he really is a very special dog. His personality is exceptional, and just keeps getting better every day. It's hard to describe what it is about him, because taken objectively he's not got anything really special about him, but there's something there that's unique and appealing. I would call it animal magnetism, but that's a little too corny…… Anyway, thank you again for this wonderful opportunity for us to share our lives with a very special individual. He's a bright light in our lives, and we couldn't imagine our home without him. We love him dearly."

Buddy aka Romeo

Testimony of the new owner: "I've been wanting to email you to tell you how wonderful it is having Buddy. He is so cute and lovable. We took him to the Vet on Valentine's Day to have his stitches taken out and to have him checked out. He did very well with the Vet and the Vet said he has a great disposition considering everyone in the office was a stranger and all the handling he received by the Vet. He and Max have become good friends now that they have both settled down. Buddy follows Max everywhere. It looks so funny with Big Max and Little Buddy right behind him. This Saturday Buddy is going to the Poochie Doo Groomers to get a new doo as they say!I'll send you a picture soon. I am very glad to have the chance to share this good news with you especially after reading your web site about poor Little Destiny. It breaks my heart to think someone could have been that cruel to this animal. I am on a strict budget but will send you something in about two weeks to help with the costs."

Murphy aka Rebel

Testimony of the new owner: "We are having so much fun with our special boy, he loves to go hiking with us and his favorite activity is chasing squirrels in Prospect Park. He is also very happy snuggling up at home and taking naps. Sometimes we don't know how we got along without him! He is always making us laugh and doing the cutest things. "

Lilo aka Vanilla

Testimony of the new owner: "It has been almost a year since Lilo 'Vanilla' became part of our family. I just wanted to send you a pic of him and Kyle so you can see just how happy one of the members of our family is that Lilo came to us. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and it feels like we have had him forever. "

Casey

Testimony of the new owner: "It's been awhile since I sent you an email regarding Casey. She is doing so well. I have attached some pictures of her enjoying the snow in the back yard. She is particularly adept at running laps around the tree, almost as fast as a bobsled racer. She also enjoys studying the squirrels as the feed on sunflower seeds. She has only been with us for seven months, but it seems like she has always been here. She and my husband are inseparable and she raises such a fuss when he leaves for work in the morning. She is such a loving dog and is so generous with kisses. Santa brought her some wonderful stuffed toys, which she carries all over. She has also discovered the joy of chewing them until she gets the squeaker out. She spent a week in a kennel while we went on vacation last November and she was quite a hit. She made fast friends with a boxer during her stay. She will be staying again in March as we travel to Texas for a wedding, and the kennel owners are looking forward to seeing her again. Thank you again for assisting us in making her a part of our family. We absolutely adore her. Best Wishes to Abandoned Angels, "

Soleil

Testimony of the new owner: "Louie, our male red cocker spaniel goes up to the woodchuck hole and camps out waiting for the woodchuck to come up. In three years he has yet to see him. The other 4 dogs form a parade behind my wife everywhere she goes. They are truly pack animals. I have attached two pictures of Soleil taken this summer. She has filled out from the skinny little thing she was. "

Moxie

Testimony of the new owner: "I wanted to wish you a very happy valentine's day. Not only is today Valentine's Day but it's also the one month anniversary of coming to live with my Mommy. She says that I am the BEST little boy. Not only am I gorgeous, but she says that I am very, very smart and truly an angel. Thank you for rescuing me and giving me to my mommy. She said that you are an angel too. I wish that I could see you again. You should see all the tricks that I know. Thank you for saving my life and giving me the chance to be loved again. "

D'ohgee aka Rollie

Testimony of the new owner: "He's doing very good. He plays with my Nephews (believe it or not) I still keep a close eye on him when playing with my nephews. He also gets along with my whole family. He gets jealous of my Boyfrd. lol Every time he spends the night he pees in my livingroom...Dolores I've never had a dog so close to me. I love him so much. All he wants to do is cuddle with me. at night he sleeps right next to me. Sometimes he sleeps with his head on my neck.he also knows how to share his toys. He brings his toy(s) to ppl so they can play with him. He's such a big baby.Thank you for giving him to me. He makes me soooo HAPPY. "

Sammy aka Sandy

Testimony of the new owner: "I am happy to say he is quite content in his new home and Richie and I are very happy with him. He is just a wonderful dog."

Baci

Testimony of the new owner: " finally got a chance to send you some pictures of Baci in his new home. There's one of him in front of the Christmas tree and a couple with his new Mom in the living room. He has come a long way with us. He now lets us play with his toys and brings us the ball to throw. He loves the fenced in back yard, and when we are home all day on theweekends he spends most of the day outside mostly by himself. He even lets Gail hug and kiss him, and we rub his tummy all the time. We are now working on socializing him. He still has a problem with people on walks and when they come in the door. He just needs a little moretime to get used to people. We love him and again want to thank you for letting Baci into our life."

Lucky and petals

Testimony of the new owner: "My parents adopted Lucky and Petals from Abandoned Angels on September 17,2004. I just moved back home from Las Vegas on November 3 and was so pleasantly surprised to find these two sweethearts in my parents home. We had to put our 14 year old buff Cocker Spaniel, Bean Hill (Beany for short) to sleep a few months back. We had him since he was only a few weeks old and I guess the house was too quiet with just my mom and dad. So they adopted these two pups and they brought me back home, too. So now the five of us are all together. Here are a few pictures so you can see how wonderful they are doing! They enjoyed Christmas, opening presents and just being a part of the family. As you can see, they have adopted the green chair in our kitchen as their own. They snuggle up there and take naps together all the time. Petals has put on weight and is a very healthy little girl. Lucky is our little "Dennis the Menace" who still loves to steal every toy that Petals has. He is always making us laugh and probably driving Petals crazy at times. So, they wrestle around and fight over toys, but she always gives in to him because she is just such a sweet dog. And, at the end of the day, they look for one another to cuddle next to. They get along so well and always seem happy that they are a part of our family and I know that my parents and I are extremely happy that they are, too. They have won over all of our hearts and we couldn't be happier. Enjoy the pictures and thank you for bringing these two angels into our lives."

Teddy

Testimony of the new owner: "All dogs are doing great. Our older dog Morgan thinks Teddy is her baby and is now taking the role of mother/playmate and referee when Quincy and Teddy start barking at each other. We always say "here comes Morgan with her whistle to break it up". And they do. Teddy is ruthless about trying to get Quincy to like him. My money is on Teddy, with time I think with time Quincy will give up this grudge and fall for Teddy like we all have. As you already know we are very grateful for Quincy and Teddy. They bring us so much happiness. Thank you again for allowing us to adopt them. Be well and I'm sure in the future we will be speaking again of another cocker you might have for us. Have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year! "

Molly and Maggie aka Sugar and Spice

Testimony of the new owner: "Hi, Dolores and friends!
We wanted to let you know that we're doing well with our new family. Mom and Dad are very good to us and our big sisters are the best! We have lots of toys and treats, and love our new home. As you can see from our picture, it is very tiring being a helper at Christmastime, but Mom sure seems to like the company. We're being especially good, because Santa's coming soon and we have our own stockings. We can hardly wait!!! We hope that you're doing well and think of you often and how you helped us find a home. We tell all of our friends about Abandoned Angels and hope one of them may adopt someday. Our Christmas wish is that all the dogs you help can find a family to love them as much as ours does.
Happy Holidays!"

Cooper aka Poochie playing with his new toy

Testimony of the new owner: "Thank you again... so so much.... for this angel. He's so precious and we're giving him and will continue to give him the best home filled w/love and attention."

Casey at Home

Testimony of the new owner:

Quincy aka CJ

Testimony of the new owner:"In the beginning he did have a few accidents but he has adjusted beautifully. He's a people dog. Loves to be with us. (especially when we are eating, he's a real carb lover) We have a house upstate and he loves it up there too. What a country dog he turned out to be! Our other dog likes him too. My cats think he's a big cat and you will find them sleeping next to each other sometimes. My kids absolutely adore him and are always with him. He gets loads and loads of hugs and kisses throughout the day. You would think he's a baby the way we treat him!!! Thank you again for allowing us to adopt him. We are very grateful."
The Randazzo's

Bonnie with her Mommy

Testimony of the new owner: "Bonnie walked into our lives without a doubt heaven sent a year ago. How do I express what a joy she is in one paragraph? Well she loves stalking squirrels almost more than food or so much so, that I can never risk any unfenced area due to the fact she would run into the horizon on the tail of a squirrelso we fenced in "Bonnie's yard". Don't forget long walks, freshly fallen snow, car rides, lots of treats, fresh cooked chicken, sirloin and liver to go with breakfast and din din meal. Sleeping arrangements are the best...snuggles all night between Mommy & Daddy under the covers. Oh yeah, we almost forgot our special toys and rawhide bones and pulling hot blankets off the radiator so someone will put it on her for a nap. Bo Bo also loves her stylish winter coat that she lifts up each foot to insert into when it is needed outside. Because we have a strong alpha type personality, I had to stop the dog runs - She is not too crazy about other dogs or cats (our two felines have had to accept second fiddle). She doesn't like rainy days, baths at the vet or when the cats gang up on her...Let's rap it up by saying our family can't imagine life without her. Thank you Abandoned Angels for your wonderful rescue work."

Sassy with her new Daddy

Testimony of the new owner:""

Bacardi aka Bear

Testimony of the new owner:""

Coco with her new Mommy

Testimony of the new owner:"I just wanted to let you know how happy Coco and I are. She is the best doggie. Everyone loves her. She has a bunch of new friends in the neighborhood. I love her so much and I am so happy that you just knew we were meant for each other!"

Callie with her new Daddy

Testimony of the new owner:"I should thank you. Callie is doing splendid. She loves her new home... andher new sister.. I took her to the nearby beach and park on the weekend andshe ran and played with other dogs. I noticed she does have a temper andgrowls at certain dogs, but she is getting better. She sleeps with me on mybed.. I have a body pillow and she sleeps on one end of it next to my head.Sooo cute..."

Chloe at her new home

Testimony of the new owner:"I wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you that Chloe is thriving and to thank you for everything you and Lianne did for her. Chloe is happy and healthy and quite a little character - my entire family adores her. When I spoke to you last she was having a few behavior problems. We took her to puppy classes and she has made great strides. Chloe is now just a wonderful, sweet dog!"

Casey with her new friend Candy

Testimony of the new owner:"I wanted to write and let you know that Casey is adjusting very well. Within two hours, she was giving my husband cocker kisses. She and Candy are getting along fine too. I had an email from Steve and Anita, and I responded and assured them that Casey was already making herself at home and has stolen our hearts. I will write again soon.Thank again you from the bottom of our hearts for selecting us to adopt this love of a dog."

Rocky in his new bed

Testimony of the new owner:"Just wanted to let you know that we took Rocky to his new Vet and he said he is a "winner". He said he's a great dog and very healthy. Thank you for taking such good care of Rocky. He's doing very well in his new home. Thanks"

Opie aka Cassidy at home

Testimony of the new owner:"Hi! Thought you might enjoy these. Opie (formerly Cassidy) is the most affectionate dog in the world. What a great little boy! He and his new brother, Shadow, are inseparable. Thanks again for chosing us!"

Testimony of the new owner: "Hi! Well, it was one year ago today we made the trip from Ohio to adopt our wonderful little angel, Opie. The 12 hour trip seemed a lot shorter coming home. Opie has turned out to be the most affectionate dog ever. He has the sweetest personality. The only problem, we had to get a bigger bed since he claimed the middle of the old one! He isn't happy until he claims a corner of your pillow too! We are so thankful there are folks like you that rescue this fine breed. Opie is our fifth Cocker and as far as we're concerned, there is no other breed. May God bless you in the work you do and the service you provide and in the special lives you save."

Zoey and her new Mommy Zara

Testimony of the new owner:"Zoey is a testament to the excellent care and judgement of its Director - Dolores of Abandoned Angels in New York who makes sure the right dog goes to the right home. Zoey introduces me to people in my apartment building, people on the streets and in all of the finest stores - Bloomingdales to Tiffanys. People frequenly comment on how she "has eyes only for me" as she looks at me constantly in an adoring manner. A salesperson at Bloomingdales told me that the only dog who has such an adoring look is his dog who was a rescue. And looking at how well socialized Zoey was, he did not think she was a rescue. When I told him Zoey's background, he commented that is why she looks at me the way she does. Of course, I am saddened that Zoey had to experience so much to become the lovely, affectionate dog that she is. My brother who "baby sits" other dogs was so taken by Zoey that he wanted a cocker spaniel with a temperment just like Zoey's. Who else but Dolores Rodriguez at Abandoned Angels would know which dog would blossom for the right person!!! Dolores, thank you for the hard work you do to make this world a better place for dogs and people."

Testimony of the new owner:"Well, it has been a month since we adopted our new friend, just thought we would send this picture of Buck (formerly Lightning) onto you. He is getting along really well, and we just love him as if he has been with us for years. He is so much fun, and just the best little guy. He has had a small separation anxiety issue when 1 of us would leave, but with lots of work, he now understands that we do come back. He is fine with our cat, although at first she was a little skeptical, but she is much better now, and back to her usual cat stuff. We still cannot believe this guy was ever surrendered, he is the best, and we are soooo glad we found him. Thanks again, take care. Rich and Tim"

Harmony now known as Freckles

Testimony of the new owner:"We've decided to rename her, Freckles. She is doing fine. I took her to my sister's today so she wouldn't be home alone on her first full day. She was treated like a queen there and my nieces think she is the sweetest little one!! Last night she slept under our bed - much to our surprise. It was so - o - o cute. Right now she is resting under the computer desk watching my every move. Pete will be home later and I'll have him send you a couple of pictures. He is so wrapped up in his new little treasure. Thanks for everything."

Sugar

Testimony of the new owner:"she's a very very happy girl these days. We've been hiking everyday and she's decided that she loves to play with soccer balls. As she was running past me today I realized I can no longer see her ribs poking out, to look at her you would never know the desperate shape she was in eight weeks ago, she's so lucky you found her. We're still working on housebreaking and she gets jealous if I pet the cats but like I said before we're working on it. If Sugar could type she would no doubt send you her love...."

Brooklyn and his new Mommy

Testimony of the new owner:"I can not begin to tell you how lucky I am to have found you and Abandoned Angels. Brooklyn is the sweetest animal I have ever known. One look in his eyes and you know he is an old soul - full of love. He is so well behaved and smart. He has taken to his new surroundings and has found a dear friend in my neighbors dog, Chester. They can't wait to see each other each morning and afternoon. As I type, Brooklyn is at my feet in my office.Everyone has fallen in love with him and if he canlearn to answer the phones he may have a job soon"

CoCo in her new house

Testimony of the new owner: "Just want to let you know that Coco is doing wonderfully. Last night, Coco slept in bed with me part of the night and did not mind that the cat was there too. She is so good, she even lets me know when she needs to go out by standing by the door.I see Coco can be a little assertive with other dogs, but so far, she gets along with the other dogs on the block. Coco is so sweet, I just love her already. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to have such a great dog. I will keep you posted and send you pictures soon."

Testimony of the new owner: "Willie continues to be a delight. He fit in perfectly with the cats as well as our other dog Annica. His health is great. Rocky, now known as Rusty in his new home

Testimony of the new owner: "I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity that you provided to adopt such a loving dog. He is already settling in nicely and making himself at home. He even hasn't had any accidents in the house. Rusty loves the farm and all the fresh country smells."

Macho, now known as Luke in his new home

Testimony of the new owner:"Luke is wonderful!! We're so happy that he's here, and he's so friendly and adorable. He's an excellent addition to our home. We're going to head over to Prospect Park with him in a few minutes."

Happy in his new home

Testimony of the new owner:"I can't thank you enough for bringing Happy over to us! He is such a sweet dog. I took a few pictures last night. I will send you more in a week or so. So far the 2 dogs are getting along. Murphy ended up sleeping on my bed and Happy slept on the floor. I gave him a crate to sleep in for now if he wanted to but he chose the floor. I had a mess to clean up this morning but that was expected. Hope he adjusts! He eats out of Murphy's dish and Murphy lets him! I am at work already."
