Meet Abel, a handsome senior Cocker Spaniel with a jet black coat who comes to us from an area shelter. Abel is a special needs dog who has been rendered partially blind by cataracts. He does see shadows and can get around, although he takes it gingerly. He is an exceptionally sweet and gentle boy who will make an excellent family pet and should be trustworthy with kids. Other than his visual deficit, Abel is in good shape for a dog his age, which is estimated to be about 10. He has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested heartworm negative. Abel will be professionally groomed before he is placed and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time that he goes home.
