Meet Alex, a handsome 12 year old black Cocker Spaniel who comes to us due to a foreclosure situation. He was surrendered with a large number of dogs. Alex is shy at first but has a great temperament. He really is an excellent dog. Alex loves the company of other animals, so will be unhappy as an only pet. He needs a bit of a gang around him to draw him out of his shell. Although an older boy, Alex is a healthy dog who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He has recently tested positive for Lyme (as he comes from a rural setting) but is responding well to antibiotic treatment and should be recovered soon. He will be treated to a dental cleaning as well as a professional grooming prior to adoptive placement and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home. If you would like to adopt or foster Alex, please click here to submit an online application or email to request one. Alex is ready to run with the pack!
