Hello, my name is Baxter. I am a handsome purebred Beagle roughly 6 years old. I have heard through the grapevine that you are looking for a Beagle to assume the role of your new House Dog. In the present economic climate, I realize that there are many dogs competing for this role, however I believe myself to be the perfect candidate to fill your existing vacancy. In fact, to become your House Dog would simply be my dream job. I have all the requisite skills required to perform the tasks required of a House Dog and am prepared to do so beautifully. I will greet you at the door, alert you to the presence of strangers, guard you with my life, and generally provide you with much love, companionship and affection. I have vast experience as a House Dog, in fact for the past 6 years it has been my area of focus. Sadly, my excellent skills went rather unappreciated in my last position, with the result that I ended up a shelter pet. It's not that I did a bad job, rather a House Dog was simply no longer valued in that particular home. I nevertheless come with excellent references, as Abandoned Angels is prepared to vouch for my fine character. The shelter where I briefly resided has rather nice things to say about me too. I have been neutered, microchipped, am current on all shots, have tested negative for heartworm, and am shortly scheduled for a dental. As I wish to put my best foot forward, I will be professionally groomed before adoption, and will go home with a new leash and collar. A dog's condition is of course is a reflection of his household, so you can be sure that I will always want to look my best for you. If you would be interested to interview me for the position of your new House Dog (whether on an adoptive or a foster basis), please click here to complete and return an on-line application, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. I can assure you that I am very well qualified and extremely eager to continue my career with you. In fact, it is my utmost desire to retire at your feet. Yours truly, Baxter.
