Meet Buddy and Tootsie, a bonded pair of Lhaso Apso/Shih Tzu dogs, both around 5 years old. They are not littermates, but very close in age. Buddy and Tootsie are being returned to rescue after 4 years of living in a loving home because Buddy (the cream colored cutie with gorgeous gold eyes) cannot be trusted with the toddler in the home. He does not guard his food bowl, but has a tendency to grab food roughly from the hand (a problem if a toddler happens to be clutching a cookie). There has been no bite to the child, but the parents are afraid of a mishap. Although Tootsie (the gray cutie) is fine with the child, Tootsie is opting to stick with Buddy and to be re-homed with him. They were adopted together (true BFFs!) and cannot be separated. Buddy and Tootsie are very loving dogs who will make great family pets; they can be placed in a home with older kids who are somewhat dog experienced. Both dogs are healthy boys who have ben neutered, microchipped, are current on all shots and have tested negative for heartworm. They will be professionally groomed before their placement and will be sporting new leashes and collars at the time of going home. Buddy and Tootsie are waiting to become your new best friends!
