Meet Charlie's Angel - a handsome 12 year old special needs Cocker Spaniel who recently found himself dumped at Animal Care and Control of NYC after many years of loyal service to the ones he loved. Charlie is a very loving boy, who is great with other pets. Like any self-respecting private eye, he will sound the alarm if he spies an intruder but can be relied upon to greet your guests with graciousness and warmth. While he is on the whole healthy for a dog his age, Charlie is reported to have the occasional seizure. However, they are infrequent enough that he does not require meds. At this time his condition simply needs monitoring. Charlie is currently being treated for an ear infection and will shortly be having dentistry, following which he will be ready for foster or adoptive placement. Charlie has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. As older dogs fare poorly in a kennel setting, Charlie is in urgent need of foster care. We are told that he is housebroken and that he is fine at home alone during an 8 hour workday, so he should make an easy foster. If you can offer Charlie a place to hang his cap, please email and request an application. Charlie is an Angel who could really use an Angel on his side. Can you help?
