Meet Chelsy, a 6 year old female Cocker Spaniel who comes to us from Animal Care and Control of New York City following the death of her owner. Though shy at first, Chelsy is a very sweet and loving dog who needs a reason to start again. She was at home when her owner passed away, following which the police seized her, an experience was surely traumatizing. We believe that Chelsy will fare best in a tranquil setting where she will be afforded time and space to find her footing once again. While she can be placed with children, we would recommend that they be older as well as somewhat dog experienced. Chelsy has been diagnosed with a fungal infection and will be seeing a dermatologist soon. After her medical issues are addressed, she will be available for adoption. Chelsy has been spayed, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. She has just enjoyed a professional grooming and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home. If you would like to adopt or foster Chelsy, please click here to submit an online application or email to request one. Chelsy is waiting to hear from you.
