What Clary can say clearly is that life can be rough for an older shelter dog. Things were looking bright for her a while ago, when she found an adoptive home through Animal Care and Control of NYC. Sadly, the home did not stick and, worse still, no one bothered to return her. One day she simply found herself a stray on the street, once again ending up in the shelter system. Her adopters were of course contacted but declined to reclaim her, whereupon Clary was released to rescue. We will ensure that she is placed safely and permanently this time around. Although an older pet (her age is estimated at 11 years), Clary is a healthy dog who has been spayed, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. As her teeth require some attention, she is shortly to receive a much needed dental. She also be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. Clary is a very gentle girl with a lot of love to give who greatly deserves a life of security in her later years. While she awaits forever placement, Clary is fostering with a D.J. in Manhattan, where she is singing along to a lot of Johnny Nash. Of course we all know those famous lyrics (Clary's favorite): "I can see clearly now, the rain is gone/I can see all obstacles in my way/Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind/It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)/Sun-Shiny day." If you can be the adoptive rainbow Clary has been praying for, please email and request an application. Clary is waiting to hear from you.
