Meet Coco, a handsome 1 year old Cockalier (Cocker Spaniel crossed with Cavalier King Charles) who comes to us from Animal Care and Control of NYC, where he was surrendered by his owner. His owner painted an unfair picture of poor little Coco, who then did not stand a chance. Supposedly he was aggressive with everyone but we wonder now what "everyone" did to trigger such a response. Although Coco is cautious in certain situations, he has been very sweet and friendly in rescue. We believe that he will continue to flourish in a quiet adult only setting (or a home with older kids) where he can enjoy some structure and benefit from some training. Coco is a healthy dog who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar.
