Make a difference in the life of a senior rescued dog!
Cassie Ward (pictured at left) helped raise emergency funds for Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue by running for our cause in the 2011 New York City Marathon. As many of you know, New York's 2012 marathon was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy, but that hasn't slowed Cassie down. She is on the move again, this time with her sister Anneka! On January 12-13th, Cassie and Anneka will run Goofy's Race and the Half Challenge in Walt Disney World - Epcot Center. All together, this is a 39.3 mile race, and we could not be more proud of them!

Like most senior dogs, the older (but wiser) Cocker Spaniels entering our rescue suffer from various chronic illnesses that have not been addressed and require life-long care, including Cushing's Disease, arthritis, cataracts, glaucoma, bladder issues, ear infections, dental disease, and in some cases- injuries that require surgery... just to name a few. Almost all of them require medication which is very costly to us.
Sadly, these poor senior souls (like Sparky, Charlie, and Weeping Wllow) are the dogs that were most commonly abandoned by their previous owners, dumped at the shelters to face a most certain death. They are also the LEAST LIKELY to be adopted in the shelter system and would be euthanized if it were not for our rescue stepping in to save them.
We cannot continue to save seniors without your support!
Please help us help our seniors by sponsoring Cassie and Anneka's courageous runs in Florida.
