Meet Isabelle, a beautiful, full figured senior Cocker Spaniel roughly 10 years old who is very much in love with a senior Lab named Canela (listed separately). Isabelle and Canela would very much like to placement together, as they have bonded through the years and may not do well separated. They come to us due to a foreclosure situation and were surrendered with quite a few other dogs. Like Canela, Isabelle would make an excellent therapy dog. She would enjoy visiting hospitals and comforting people in need. Although she has a thyroid condition (which accounts for her chunky figure) she is taking daily thyroid meds, which seem to be doing the trick. The cost is only pennies a day and she will go home with an ample supply. Like Canela, Isabelle has tested positive for Lyme (as these dogs come from a rural setting) but she is responding well to antibiotic treatment and should be recovered soon. Isabelle is otherwise a healthy girl who has been spayed, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. She will be treated to a dental cleaning prior to her adoptive placement and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home. If you would like to foster or adopt Isabelle (preferably with her true love Canela), please click here to submit an online application or email to request one. Isabelle is waiting to hear from you!
Who doesn't love a little bit of cinnamon? Meet Canela (the Spanish word for cinnamon spice), a handsome 10 year old purebred blonde Labrador (with docked tail) who comes to us due to a foreclosure situation. Canela has the soulful spirit of a service dog. His demeanor is beyond gentle, with his temperament just outstanding. Anyone looking for a pet with whom to visit hospitals or to comfort the ill or disabled could not find a better dog. We are endeavoring to place Canela with his best friend Isabelle, a senior Cocker Spaniel who is equally sweet and demure (her profile is listed separately). Canela is a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He is currently being treated for Lyme (having come to us from a rural setting) however he is responding well to antibiotics and should be fully recovered soon. Canela will be treated to a dental cleaning prior to adoptive placement and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home. If you would like to adopt or foster Canela, please click here to submit an online application or email to request one. Canela is waiting to bring cinnamon spice and everything nice right into your life.
