Jacob and Cooper are 4 year old littermates ("Twins") who were recently found abandoned in a Long Island park. These two handsome boys were out for a bit of autumn leaf peeping, but things took a negative turn when they were tied to a tree and left behind. Although at first scared and then panicked, the boys stuck together and offered one another whatever comfort they could. When their owner did not return, the boys were picked up by Animal Control and brought to a local shelter. An adopter was found for one of the boys, but in the end the shelter staff found it too heartbreaking to separate them, so both were surrendered to rescue instead. Jacob and Cooper are healthy dogs with natural undocked tails (as nature made them!) with great dispositions. They should make excellent family pets in a home with slightly older, dog experienced kids. The Twins have been neutered, microchipped, are current on all shots and have tested negative for heartworm. They have both been treated to a dental cleaning and will be professionally groomed before going home. If you would like to adopt or foster our Twins (we will NOT separate), please click here to complete an online application or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request one. We will reduce their combined adoption fees with a view to keeping these boys together. The Twins are waiting to hear from you ... they say that two Halves make a Whole.
