This Thanksgiving, you can help save dogs' lives
by entering our
"Leave No Angel Behind" Raffle
5 lucky people will win a prize. This month's prizes are worth over $700, making this our biggest raffle yet!
It's not just raining Autumn Leaves, it's raining Emergency Medical. Once again, we are hit with Seniors who are very much in need. These dogs are the ones who devastate us, emotionally and also financially. "HOW COULD THEY..?" are the words that come to mind when we're called to rescue a Senior. How could their families neglect them, depriving them of medical for years, and then dump them and walk away? How could they not wonder if their pet lived or died when left in a crowded shelter? And how could they peacefully sleep at night or ever have peace again?
While we try not to overly dwell on such questions, our reality now is this: HOW CAN WE meet the needs of these dogs, who are suffering now and sick? HOW CAN WE raise enough cash for these dogs in order to pay off our vet? HOW CAN WE later find homes for these dogs where they'll actually be cherished and loved? And HOW CAN WE actually turn new dogs away if we ultimately fail achieving the above? The truth is that we are all deeply worried and in urgent need of your help.
While we are currently caring for some 20+ seniors, there are 8 whose needs just can't wait.
JAKE is still suffering with excruciating ear pain. He had one ear ablated in early October and now needs immediate TECA surgery on his other ear to free him of ALL pain.
DONNIE is a 9 year old male Cocker Spaniel who needs bilateral TECA surgery ASAP. He, like Jake, is living in excruciating pain. All treatment to rid his calcified and stenotic ears have failed.
BROHAM is another 9 year old Cocker Spaniel suffering with ear problems with no viable relief in sight. All treatments have failed and he too needs bilateral TECA surgery.
MAXI, who is 10 years old, suffers with painful glaucoma and is currently on eye medication while he awaits and appointment with an ophthalmologist to receive an injection to stop the pressure in his eyes.
MELISSA, who is 10 years old, also has glaucoma and a mass in her eye.
BUCKLEY needs a torn cruciate on his other leg repaired. He had the other leg repaired in August.
KUBO needs an MRI, as he may have sustained an injury that has left him with ongoing neurological issues causing him to lose bladder and bowel control.
LEO is 13 years old, has an enlarged heart and a Grade 4 heart murmur. He needs to see a cardiologist prior to addressing his severe dental disease. He also has a severe skin infection and ear infection.
The list goes on and on...
