A Best Friend, An Angel for Life...
Meet our Thunder Cloud ... for whom sunnier days are ahead, we hope. Thunder is a handsome 4 year old Black Lab Mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Thunder comes to us from Animal Care and Control of NYC, where he had made his way to the euthanasia list. He is a victim of Black Dog Syndrome, which is not a disease, but a phenomenon wherein black dogs and cats never make it out of the shelter system simply because they have drawn a genetic short straw: they are born with black fur. While there are those that have written about Black Dog Syndrome and have studied it, no one has been able to give a clear answer as to why it happens. Like many things in life, it's just not fair!! In any event, we were determined that Thunder's fate should be different. He is an active boy with a wonderful temperament (great with other dogs and kids) who should make an excellent family pet. Thunder is a healthy dog who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will be sporting a new leash and collar prior to going home. To adopt or foster Thunder, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://www.nyabandonedangels.com/ where you can complete and return an online application. If you can see the adventure that lies in a rainy day, then Thunder Cloud is surely the dog for you. He's an all weather boy who makes the world brighter and will be happy to join you on your daily adventures, wherever they may take you both. Bring home the Thunder today and get ready for lightning to strike!
