DEAR FRIENDS OF AACSR:
Right now, three fragile souls—Waffles, Loki, and Bashful—are clinging to hope after a lifetime of betrayal and neglect. They came to us broken, sick, and discarded. They need our help.
🐾 Waffles was abandoned and brought by the police to the Manhattan shelter. His tiny body hidden beneath layers of filth and painful mats. Imagine being so unloved that no one even brushed your fur. Now, despite his gentle spirit, he needs a full cardiac workup, x-rays, blood tests, and an ultrasound just to survive what others ignored.
🐾 Loki once had a family, but when his medical needs became too overwhelming, they had to surrender him to the shelter. Left trembling in the shelter, he carries the scars: raw, bleeding skin from severe allergies, constant itching, and terrifying neurological symptoms that leave him confused and afraid. His initial vetting was done as soon as AACSR rescued him. His future depends on a costly MRI and ongoing specialist care. Without them, Loki’s suffering will only grow.
🐾 Bashful is just a baby—10 months old. Police discovered her abandoned with six other young dogs. Instead of playing and seeing the world clearly, her vision is clouded by painful cherry eye, and every blink brings stabbing pain as her lashes scrape against her corneas. She cannot tell us how much it hurts, but she cries in silence. She needs 2 specialized surgeries to protect her vision and restore her comfort.
These Precious souls have been failed by humans.
But now… they have AACSR and all of you.
