PUPPY MILL RESCUE!
In August alone, we rescued 16 dogs in need! Pictured above are just 10 of the 16 dogs and wow, do we really need our army of supporters to help!
These 10 innocent, young Cocker Spaniels are from a puppy mill. One look into their eyes and you can see that their souls are crying for our help. They are only 1-2 years old and were sadly used for breeding. Can you imagine, at such a young age?! Some of these angels show evidence of having had a recent litter and/or several litters. Our hearts break for these poor babies.
When we heard of their plight, we immediately jumped into action and rescued them, sight unseen. When they arrived, we were HORRIFIED to see the filthy, matted, and deplorable condition they were kept in.
They were despondent and extremely fearful. They shook profusely and cowered. They barely recognized what a kind touch felt like on their thin, boney bodies. It is truly heartbreaking to imagine what their lives have been like. Thankfully, now in AACSR's care, these precious young souls are currently decompressing while receiving lots of TLC.
Speaking from experience, we believe these angels are young enough and should overcome their past and will thrive in loving, forever homes.
However, each of the 10 dogs will need to be vetted, spayed, and neutered prior to adoption.

But wait, there's more!
We just rescued this poor dog Ninja in coordination with the NYCACC. To avoid this sweet, innocent 8yo Cocker Spaniel from being subjected to a vastly overcrowded shelter environment, he was brought directly to our vet clinic.
Unfortunately, we just learned that Ninja is in URGENT NEED of dual TECA (total ear canal ablation). Just look at his ears! We can’t imagine how much pain he must be in! This is due to years of chronic, untreated ear infections.
Ninja is a gentle, even angelic, and loving soul who does not deserve to suffer a single day in his life. We believe God puts these dogs in our path for a reason.
Whatever his past circumstances were before coming to us— that is behind him, and we MUST move forward for Ninja’s sake and provide him with the love and care he so desperately deserves. The dual TECA surgery must be done ASAP so he can live the remainder of his life infection and pain-free.
